This means that the industry will once again have its meeting place in Nuremberg. The conceptual sponsors are the German Natural Stone Association (DNV) and the Federal Guild Association of the German Stonemasonry and Stone Sculpture Trade (BIV)
GMF news - World Trade Fair Guide. Turin, August 26, 2021 – Stone+tec is the meeting place for the natural stone industry from Germany and neighbouring European countries. The focus of the event is on the one hand on materials, such as traditional natural stone and products similar to natural stone, and on the other on technology and machinery for working and processing natural stone. The third major area of offerings focuses on gravestones. This makes Stone+tec the knowledge platform for domestic natural stone and the only trade fair for the gravestone sector.
The fair is aimed at everyone involved in working with stone from the fields of construction, cemeteries, monuments and design, making it a must-attend event for the stone industry. A new feature is the “Building with Natural Stone” theme area, which provides offerings for property developers, planners and architects as part of Stone+tec.
From Wednesday 22 June to Saturday, 25 June 2022, the industry will finally be reunited at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre after four years. For exhibiting companies, Stone+tec offers the opportunity to personally provide an interested public with information about their products and services within the framework of a trade fair. Stone+tec presents current trends and new developments, such as materials that expand the natural stone market. In addition, the topic of sustainability will be highlighted, which is evident in the industry in that the use of local materials is in vogue, such as sandstone, limestone or granite.
The trade fair programme will be supplemented and rounded off by panel discussions, a comprehensive new congress programme that invites visitors to learn and enjoy professional exchanges, as well as specialist areas.
The conceptual sponsors are the German Natural Stone Association (DNV) and the Federal Guild Association of the German Stonemasonry and Stone Sculpture Trade (BIV). In 2022, the DNV, together with the Association of German Architects (BDA), will present the German Natural Stone Award DNP, again as part of the Stone+tec. The DNP is awarded to sustainable projects made of natural stone in interior and exterior areas that exemplify high architectural quality and energy-saving construction methods.
Young talents from the stonemasonry and stone sculpture trades will again be involved in the trade fair and will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in the BIV Young Talents competition.
