PRISMA news. Turin, March 9, 2024 – The publishing group New Business Media - Tecniche Nuove has announced important changes at the board of Arketipo, a monthly magazine founded in 2006 and dedicated to international architecture: the new executive editor is Benedetta Tagliabue, co-founder in 1991 with Enric Miralles (1955-2000) of EMBT Architects, with offices in Barcelona (HQ), Shanghai and Paris - as well as founder and president of the Enric Miralles Foundation in Barcelona.

Author of internationally renowned projects such as the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, the Santa Caterina market in Barcelona and the Spanish Pavilion for Expo 2010 in Shanghai, the architect comments on her new task as follows: "I am really happy about this new assignment as executive editor of Arketipo. It is a great opportunity to relaunch the conversation on Italian and international architecture and to search together for the most interesting, most beautiful, newest topics in order to keep architecture a theme with soul".

Benedetta Tagliabue now joins Politecnico di Milano professor Matteo Ruta as the magazine's scientific director, with the aim of bringing a new cosmopolitan energy to the magazine, to further broaden the perspectives of the featured architectures.

"We welcome the new executive editor, who has already started to bring ideas and insights, reflecting our intention to give the magazine even more depth and internationality. Arketipo is about to turn 18 years old and we cross the age of majority with this important new development," said Ivo Nardella, editor.

Arketipo presents its new look from the first issue of the year: 171 - January/February 2024, whose theme is Textile. "Thanks to the input of the new editor Benedetta Tagliabue and with the appointment of a new Scientific Committee composed of architects and professors of international calibre and fame, Arketipo gets updated and does so from the issue fresh off the press: we decided to present eight projects that express the act and art of weaving in architecture, meant both in the proper sense of fabric but also as an interweaving of traditional and non-traditional materials, presenting realisations in various countries of the world, with the usual attention, typical of Arketipo, also to the technological-constructive aspects", closes professor Matteo Ruta.

Enjoy!
