New venue, more exhibitors, more topics: FIBO CHINA in top form

GMF news - World Trade Fair Guide. Turin, July 5, 2018 – In the end, the growing need for space made the difference: the fifth FIBO CHINA will take place in a new location. The National Exhibitions and Conference Center in Shanghai is the second-largest exhibition centre worldwide, providing FIBO CHINA with new opportunities to stage both the exhibition area and an extensive supporting programme. FIBO CHINA will take up approximately 40,000 square metres here in 2018. FIBO organiser Reed Exhibitions Deutschland’s international industry know-how is once again dovetailing nicely with Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions’ knowledge of the Asian market as both have joined forces to host the event. The fair will take place from 16 to 18 August.

More and more top brands of the international fitness industry like Technogym, Life Fitness, Matrix or Precor use FIBO CHINA to gain a foothold in the growing Asian fitness market. Last year, one in five exhibitors made their regional debut right here. Growing awareness of fitness in China is what makes FIBO CHINA so attractive for the industry. DHZ Fitness, Intenza, Life Fitness, Matrix, Miha Bodytec, Precor, Sports Art, Technogym and X-Body are among the companies that have announced their participation for 2018. In the nutritional supplements segment, visitors will meet the likes of Biotech, Ironmaxx and Olimp. In total, about 350 exhibitors and 25,000 visitors are expected to attend.

More Healthy Nutrition, Aqua Fitness, EMS and Equipment

Technologies, training concepts, scientific findings and trends – as the leading industry event in the Asian market, FIBO CHINA puts on display the state-of-the-art in fitness and healthy living. The new generation of fitness devices, digitalisation concepts and group fitness classes will be presented at the trade show. Healthy Nutrition, Aqua Fitness, EMS and Equipment are the areas that have seen particular growth in 2018.

Are proteins the “one and only” kind of fitness nutrition? What does a healthy diet look like? Featuring an extensive assortment of nutritional supplements like protein shakes, vitamins and probiotic foods alongside healthy foods with a balanced nutrient content, FIBO CHINA will show what’s new in nutrition. The complementary Healthy Food Marketplace combines experience, information and shopping all in one place for visitors to enjoy.

Another focus topic at this year’s trade show is aqua fitness. Whether it’s new aqua fitness course formats, pool installations or water purification systems, exhibitors will offer a variety of solutions for studio operators.

EMS first became a topic at FIBO CHINA in 2016; ten companies will exhibit in this area in 2018, offering visitors an even bigger selection of diverse EMS products.

The exhibitors will also provide multiple solutions for operators looking for gym equipment and infrastructure. Products will range from multifunctional sports flooring to access control systems, energy saving ideas and shower systems to air purification systems.

Business-focussed supporting programme

As the most important fitness event in Asia, FIBO China also helps to advance industry know-how in a fast-growing market. The show’s supporting programme specifically addresses questions and issues on the minds of club operators, while targeting the sector’s investors as well as managers, trainers and instructors. The main attraction, the FIBO CHINA Academy featuring the Fitness Industry Future Development Summit Forum, will be complemented by a vast lineup of sub-forums on topics such as rehabilitation, nutrition, female executives, management, marketing, retail, pools, youth physical fitness, human resources, finance, science and technology, and other club-related management issues. Completing the agenda will be additional special areas and programmes, such as the FIBO CHINA Sharing and Experience Area, which allows exhibitors to present new technologies, products and models, and the Invited Buyer Matching Activity, which facilitates the making of new business contacts. To top it all off, another impressive banquet will mark the presentation of the FIBO CHINA X Golden Lion Awards. Featuring an opening ceremony, product launches and numerous interviews, the FIBO CHINA Media Experience Day will further raise the public profile of the fitness industry.
