| Pianeta Impresa news. Turin, april 8, 2026 – Kontron, a global leader in IoT/Embedded Computing Technology (ECT) and avionics solutions, announced the launch of its newest Cabin Wireless Access Points (CWAPs), the Cab-n-Connect™ A300 and Cab-n-Connect™ A301, designed to deliver high-performance wireless connectivity across modern aircraft cabins. The platforms are now in production and currently flying with airlines worldwide.
Built on the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology, the new CWAPs enable higher throughput and improved performance in dense cabin environments where hundreds of passenger devices rely on seamless connectivity. The platforms support simultaneous multi-band operation and advanced wireless management capabilities, enabling airlines to support streaming, connected cabin services, and onboard applications with greater efficiency.
Designed specifically for aviation environments, the systems integrate advanced security features and real-time RF monitoring to maintain network performance while protecting onboard connectivity systems. Both access points are engineered to meet stringent aviation standards and ensure reliable operation under demanding aircraft conditions.
The Cab-n-Connect™ A300 is designed to allow customers of previous versions to upgrade easily while continuing to use their existing Cab-n-Connect infrastructure, and it supports retrofit installations across existing fleets. The Cab-n-Connect™ A301 is also suitable for retrofit deployments as well as OEM line-fit programs, supporting ARINC-based cabin integration standards. Both platforms provide flexible options for installation on new aircraft deliveries or fleet upgrades.
“With the Cab-n-Connect™ A300 and A301, we are delivering the industry’s first cabin wireless access points with Wi-Fi 7,” said Yves Beaumont, Product Manager, Avionics at Kontron. “Our mission is to give airlines and connectivity providers a new generation of wireless infrastructure capable of supporting higher bandwidth services while maintaining the reliability required in aviation.”
