Turin, October 3, 2017 – Premiere for another Messe Essen event abroad: With Messe Essen introducing a Welding & Cutting Pavilion at Middle East and North Africa region`s premier trade show in 2018, the 14th SteelFab will offer a new opportunity for the welding and joining sectors in United Arab Emirates. The event will make it possible for exhibitors at the successful premier global SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN fair in Essen to establish and intensify business relationships in the economically strong Gulf region.
For this purpose, Messe Essen is cooperating with SteelFab. The leading trade fair of the welding industry in the United Arab Emirates takes place in the Expo Centre Sharjah in the emirate of Sharjah from January 15 to 18, 2018; for its previous edition earlier this year, 342 companies from 43 exhibited. At SteelFab in 2018, Messe Essen will organise a separate exhibition area for its customers from the premier global SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN fair. As the number one in the sector, SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN registered 1,017 exhibitors from 40 nations and around 55,000 trade visitors from 130 countries last time.

Economically Strong Environment for the New Trade Fair
The economic strategy of the United Arab Emirates and the large-scale projects imminent in the next few years are making the area attractive for companies from all over the world in the long term. The Gulf region has set itself the objectives of putting itself on a broader economic footing and reducing the dependence on oil production even further. Moreover, substantial investments are being made in infrastructure and fabrication engineering. Imminent large-scale projects such as the Expo 2020 in Dubai are making additional contributions to these. US$ 32 billion flowed into the extension of Dubai Airport alone, another US$ 20 billion into the Al Gharbia Chemicals Industrial City in Abu Dhabi and US$ 8 billion into the metro lines of Mecca.
